Tutor/Mentor

Position: Tutor/Mentor
Type: Volunteer Position
Time Commitment: 8-12 hrs/week
Position Description:
Lauren’s House 4 Positive Change is committed to improving the education and well being of our community’s children and youth. As a tutor with Lauren's House you will help students meet their homework and reading needs. Tutoring takes place from 3:30-6pm Monday-Thursday.
Responsibilities:
- Build positive relationships with youth, volunteers, parents, schools, and community.
- Assist with tracking daily attendance and other applicable program administrative duties.
- Assist with clean up and organization of all program areas.
- Conduct small group and individual active enrichment activities.
- Encourage a positive environment for members to learn, interact, and grow.

Summer Youth Leader

Position: Summer Youth Leader
Type: Volunteer Position
Time Commitment: Monday-Friday 25-30 hrs/week Summer
Position Description:
Lauren’s House 4 Positive Change is committed to improving the education and well being of our community’s children and youth. The mission of Lauren's House 4 Positive Change is to provide a safe environment for at-risk children, youth, and their families from primarily in San Mateo County where they are exposed to new experiences that expand their minds.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily set-up and cleanup
- Coordinate/support academic groups, individual and small learning groups.
- Supervise enrichment activities
- Support planning of college tours
- Provide excellent customer service to families and guardians daily
- Provide excellent communicate with parents and caregivers
- Create a positive and inspired classroom experience and learning community
- Establish and uphold classroom agreements and behavioral norms

Social Media Coordinator

Position: Social Media Coordinator
Type: Volunteer Position
Time Commitment: 8-12 hrs/week
Position Description:
Lauren’s House 4 Positive change is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual to create compelling and dynamic content that will build and sustain awareness about the mission and programs of our organization using key social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and blogs.
Responsibilities:
- Promote the goals, messages, image and awareness regarding the programs offered by the Lauren’s House.
- Develop, implement and monitor social media campaigns across a number of platforms
- Write and gather content for electronic publications, social media and blogs.

Accountant

Position: Accountant
Type: Volunteer Position
Time Commitment: 8-12 hrs/week
Position Description:
Lauren’s House 4 Positive Change Inc. is looking for an accounting student to manage the general accounting system and related activities for the organization. Your responsibilities will include tracking our organization’s revenue, expenses, as well as producing financial reports in Quickbook software.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accounting records by compiling and analyzing account information
- Reconcile nonprofit’'s financial records to help ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Post financial transactions to accounts and prepare financial statements
- Reconcile expenses in Quickbooks for nonprofit.
